Position: IT Support Specialist/Help Desk (Entry Level)

Location: Warsaw

A world class provider of broadband technology solutions to the hospitality industry is opening a new Help Desk Service Center in Warsaw. Opportunities for the position of IT Support Specialist - Help Desk are available.

The IT Support Specialist - Help Desk is the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist phone customers by diagnosing problems and providing resolution to technical and service issues
  • Work on customer technical issues that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations for solutions
  • Problem resolution involves: gathering information, diagnosing the customer needs, conducting research to find correct solutions and confirming that the customers are able to access their required services or applications.
  • Troubleshoot guest connections from both the hotel network side as well as the PC side
  • Maintain knowledge of new technologies
  • Devise creative and innovative approaches where established criteria do not currently exist
  • Work in a team environment

Requirements:
  • Fluent English (oral and written skills) - good communications/phone skills
  • Knowledge of all aspects pertaining to basic networking
  • Proficient in Windows 2000/XP
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and iNAT
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Good problem solving skills, ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it
  • Familiarity with internet applications including e-mail and VPN is an asset
  • Team Player willing to work under pressure - able to work responsibly without direct supervision
  • Positive, helpful attitude and ability to work with other

Education:
  • Technical Diploma or degree in a computer related discipline or currently attending university or polytechnic to achieve this certification
